☀️ Tint Changes With UV Exposure
Photochromic lenses do not instantly switch from clear to dark. Their tint gradually changes depending on the amount of UV light reaching the lens.
Bright Sunlight
Higher UV exposure generally produces a darker tint.
Cloudy Conditions
Lower UV levels may result in a lighter tint.
Indoors
Lenses generally remain relatively clear in low-UV environments.
Inside Vehicles
Windshields block much of the UV, so lenses may remain lighter.
Photochromic Lens Notice: Tint depth and transition speed can vary depending on UV intensity, weather, temperature, season, time of day and location. Hats, helmets and other headgear may also create temporary differences in tint where parts of the lens receive different amounts of UV exposure.
